This has to be my most anticipated destination photo shoot of the year – at the beautiful Whistler in Canada. I love intimate western style weddings and this is simply a dream to shoot! Jacqueline and Bob has been really wonderful and it is such a pleasure to be their wedding photographer. The couple told me in our first meet up that they love snow and would love to have a wedding in Whistler. I love everything Jacqueline picked for her wedding – location at the Fairmont Chateau Whistler, wedding dress by Noel Chu (both dresses are stunning and especially designed to match the snow. The pet dog Mimi had a tailor made matching wedding dress as well), flowers by the award winning florist Flowerz in Vancouver and all the beautiful details. Hair and make up by the talented Mini Chan Make Up. I love how they told me the story of how the different elements in the wedding are part of their story – from jelly cats, stuff toys and Mimi, each having a story.
A special thank you for Jacqueline & Bob for being extremely thoughtful – I was also very much luxuriously spoilt by having my own hotel room in Fairmont, luxurious meals, huge in room breakfast and rest time and meal time scheduled so that I could have enough energy to shoot the whole day. Jacqueline also ordered a pair of snow boots for me and delivered to my office! I am probably the most spoilt photographer. More spoiling by sending us off to catch the car for the airport at 6am in the morning…much appreciated. Mini the make up artist and I felt like we are part of the wedding and enjoyed it very much! As travelling for a destination wedding is hugely energy and time consuming (and to work while having jet leg), these very thoughtful arrangements really helped me to have full energy for their photo shoot. Thank you again for bringing me to shoot in such a beautiful place!
