Paris is of course not just about Champs-Elysée and macarons. This day I visited a stunning rose garden, Parc de Bagatelle. It is not far from the city centre but it is not a hot spot for tourists mainly because it is not very close to metro, but definitely worth to pay a visit in Rose seasons. Follow my blog for my travel updates.
During my stay in France, a few things I noticed here that made me reflect about life in Hong Kong. I saw many people (including tourists) dressed stylish and relaxed without having many luxury/branded items on their body. In fact I hardly saw anyone with a Prada/Chanel (the two brands that is most often seen in HK). This made me reflect that if it is really necessary to have luxury brand items to be stylish, beautiful and happy, and obviously it is not.
Another thing to reflect is about weddings and I hope to share my thoughts that I always have. I appreciate couples that pay effort of thinking why they do certain things while they plan a wedding and think about what’s really important to a wedding. If you cannot afford 5 stylish ones, think about just having one stunning wedding dress. It is really all you need. Some people may put canvases as decoration or play childhood videos in their weddings, but really they are not necessary things to do. More than often, guests appreciate touching speeches and time that you spend talking with them.
I love love love and appreciate small and intimate weddings (15-70 people), where it is all about the couple and all guests are here to celebrate the night. What I love are the touching speeches and the vows, and guests that really care about the couple & people who will enjoy the night of the celebration.
